With A chef hailed by critics “formidably Gifted” and a “residential genius” expectations are set high.
Three on the bund is a magnificant building which is only fitting as its the first Jean George restaurant outside of New York’s Trump Tower.
Dining where Katie and Tom had dined just the week before only added to the excitement and the WOW factor.
The food was divine. We had the degustation and each course was more delicious and orginal than the last. Be prepared to tanatalise the taste buds with fare such as Frogs legs, Pigeon, Caviar……and much more. All of which was met with a slightly anxious and worried palate – but one that had no reason to be and was not met with disappoinment
The ambience is fantastic and its a real dining experience to remember.
I do blame the sommelier for my fogging memory towards the end of the night. But the wine and Champagne recommendations resulted in us ordering more and more of the beautifully matched bottles.
All i can say is I’m glad it was on the work Tab – it can be a pretty pricing night – but well worth it and without a doubt would be on my list if I was to return to Shanghai:)
