A Salmon River run offers something for the whole family, with berry picking, campfire singing, cave exploring, even pedicures.When the cool, deep shaft of the abandoned copper mine ended in a wall of rock, guide Mike Thurbert turned to the group and said, “Turn off your flashlights.”
We were about 100 yards into an Idaho hillside. The lights went off as instructed and, in a moment of solemnity, 19-year-old Thurbert quietly asked us to contemplate the phenomenon of utter darkness. For that instant, each of us was an island, alone in the black tunnel. Then somebody made a spooky ooooo-ing sound and, to squeals of laughter, all the flashlights clicked back on, most of them shining up under chins, turning faces into grotesque Halloween masks.
Solemnity is in short supply on a river rafting trip full of kids. If you’re wondering what a walk in a copper mine has to do with river rafting, you’ll probably wonder the same about blackberry picking, hurtling down sand dunes, Wiffle-ball and toenail polishing. Our white-water rafting trip on the Lower Salmon River had as much to do with old-fashioned family fun as it did with running rapids. It was the warm and fuzzy things — singing around the campfire, eating meals together, inventing games, telling bad jokes, debating big issues with know-it-all adolescents — we remembered long after the white-water thrills faded.

A very good example would be Saudi Arabia. If you travel here, you have to remember that tourists here and even women were apprehended by the police for improper dresses. You have to remember that Islamic nations tend to be very conservative especially around women. So, never ever do obscene postures when traveling to unknown places. In fact, in some countries, it is even illegal to invite people of the opposite sex in your hotel room. And, only married couples are allowed to stay in the same hotel room.

Deep sea diving is considered to be a different specialty in the world of scuba diving. Unlike your average recreational diving, deep sea diving requires a special kind of training and also special kind of equipments. If you are already an advanced open water diver, then you will see that you will be able to qualify for deep sea diving. First of all, you need to remember that in deep sea diving, different gases are used for breathing unlike in your average recreational diving where nitrox and air is used you will see that deep sea diving will require a different gas mixture, which is called trimix.
The equipments here are also different. You have to remember that the deeper you go underwater, the colder it will be. Your regular neoprene wetsuit is not enough for you to survive deep sea diving. For this, you will be needed a dry suit. Deep sea diving also requires extreme discipline and concentration. The fact that narcosis can disorient you whenever you go diving, you have to memorize every movement by heart in order for you to avoid making a mistake that can injure you or mistakes that can be fatal.
