During my childhood, which was quite a while ago now, my father would take us to Uncle Tom’s Cabins, which were on Walaga Lake about ten minutes out of Bermagui. For you non-aussies out there, this is about four and a half hours drive south of Sydney. I recently decided to go back there since I have such fond memories of the place. I really wanted to see if it was a terrific as I remembered. Much to my delight, I actually found it better.
Before you go searching for Uncle Tom’s Cabins, they’ve now changed the name to Regatta Point Holiday Park, and I’m guessing that old Uncle Tom has sold it to a big corporation and is now living the high life somewhere else. The park is simple a caravan park and camp site with cabins along side a large lake. It’s also only a short drive to the nearest local beach, called Camel Rock Beach, and about twenty minutes away from the amazing country towns of Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba.
What is fantastic about it is that during the off-peak season, you have huge camp sites all to your self for very reasonable rates. Although it may sound like a setting for a horror flick, the facilities are in excellent order and the staff are extremely friendly.

If you’re in Vegas and are search of something to do while you’re on a break from the clubs and casinos, why not visit a shooting range, especially if you need to take out some stress from that losing streak that you were on.
If you’re not from the States, then it’s an experience that is close to the culture and heart of the USA! When you arrive at the Gun Store, you’ll feel like you’re departing reality especially if you’re from a country with at least some laws for gun control. The guys there behind the counter are sitting with their firearms at the ready on their belt holsters. You also have lots of different people checking out all kinds of guns. Are they buying? Who needs an AK-47?

There are loads of things you can do in New York City, but one of the most NYC things you can do when visiting is to go to a Yankee’s baseball game at Yankee Stadium. When you do decide to go, make sure that you get your tickets in advance as they sell out quite quickly, especially if you’re after games against the more popular teams. We went to the NY vs. Boston game, which was definitely popular.
Leave yourself with lots of time. When you look at it on the map, it doesn’t seem that far, but from midtown to the House that Babe built takes well over an hour. You should also take the subway to get there to soak up the atmosphere as it will be full of Yankee fans. It’ll definitely get your blood racing, ready for the game!

There’s something about having a car that gives you that terrific sense of freedom and no matter where you are you know that you can just hop back into it and drive off into the sunset!
The problem is that there are now so many car rental places to choose from and some of them charge you through the nose and others you don’t know what kind of scrapheap you might end up with. The people behind the counter are like robots and definitely do not have your best interests in mind, so a lot of the time you may end up paying loads of money for nothing but frustration.
Here are some quick tips to help you get the car that you want at the price that you’d like:

The other day I was sitting across from my wife, Mel, looking at the meal that I thought I had ordered. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this was the meal that I had ordered since the one in the photo looked nothing like it and was quite a lot better than this thing on my table. I started scouting the room to find a waiter until I noticed how Mel was looking at me. She’s not as much of a complainer as I am, you see. If I’m not happy for with what they’ve given me and I don’t think that the kitchen staff would put my food down their pants in a horrid revenge attack then I’ll say something and complain. Mel, on the other hand, will just do a silent protest and never go back to the restaurant again.
There’s a show on TV, called Hell’s Kitchen, where amateur/professional chefs battle to become a chef in one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants. Just about everyone sends their meal back if there is the slightest thing wrong with it. It just doesn’t seem realistic but I guess it makes for more drama on the show. When I’m out, the only person I’ve seen complain about their food.. is me! I don’t even do it that much but just want to make sure that I get what I paid for.
